February is American Heart Month

The month of February is American Heart Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness of heart disease, the nation’s leading cause of death. While cardiovascular disease affects the entire population, it impacts the communities we serve the most.

Physicians recommend eating healthy and staying active as the top two things an aging adult can do to reduce risks of heart disease. For this reason, The Views Senior Living communities employ a culinary chef and dietician who help prepare our menus and meals ensuring nutrition and options are top priority. In addition, we employ Therapeutic Recreation Specialists to develop daily engaging and suitable exercise classes for the age group we serve.

Going a step further, our new Marion location preparing to open this spring is the 1st WELL registered assisted living in the nation! This will allow our Marion community to focus on a holistic approach that includes improved access to; quality air and water filtration, improved nutrition education and options, an eco-friendly environment, and exercise options.

The Views Senior Living communities understand that when someone chooses to make a lifestyle change to a retirement community, there’s more than clinical cares to take in to consideration. We encourage you to visit one of our three locations that is closest to you to see how we are leading the charge in helping aging adults live a healthy, safe, and meaningful lifestyle.
